Overseeing the direction and coordination of an organization is no small task. It takes a commitment to detail and a keen eye for efficiency to help a business run smoothly. As the Chief Compliance Officer for Nevada Organic Remedies LLC (dba The Source Dispensaries), Brandon Wiegand oversees more than $40M in vertically integrated enterprises and touches nearly every facet of the business. The Source Dispensaries have been recognized as the top performing operations in the state. The combined companies employ 175 staff members and serve approximately 2,000 customers, every day. His primary goal is to help the organizations improve efficiencies and navigate regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining The Source Dispensaries team, Wiegand worked with The Grove Investment Group (TGIG, LLC), a vertically integrated cannabis enterprise that holds Nevada licenses in dispensary, cultivation and production. In his role, he assisted with the design, buildout and licensing of their more than 26K SF cultivation and production facility and two dispensary locations.

After helping TGIG successfully earn its license, he transitioned into an executive role, overseeing operations of the production team. Wiegand primarily managed the development and production of concentration goods for O.penVAPE Southern Nevada, Kannabis Concentrates and VERT Edibles. This role transition helped him understand the complexities of responsible product development and distribution, especially in the areas of inventory management, supply chain, vendor relations, packaging, branding, order processing and compliance.

A native Las Vegan, Wiegand has been very involved in the local community from both a professional and philanthropic level. While giving back, he contributed to the revitalization of Las Vegas’ historic downtown district, helping to organize, fund and execute the Build a Greener Block event. After making strides towards real improvements, he received the Community Organization Award from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for this project. A graduate of Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2013, he also served on the Downtown Achieves Steering Council, which began meeting on a regular basis to identify a targeted approach for achievement in downtown schools. This initiative helps to reform transportation, funding for programs, curriculum and more, all with a focus to improve the quality of education for Las Vegas area students. And in 2015, he was recognized by Vegas Inc. as one of Southern Nevada’s brightest professionals at its annual 40 under 40 event.

Brandon has held positions with a variety of professional organizations, including Communications Committee Chairperson for NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Investment Association), a Dungy Leadership Institute (DLI) class member, and nominees for both Development Leader of the Year and Broker of the Year. He has also served as a board member of University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Annual Giving Council and the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance, as well as a stakeholder in the Downtown Centennial Plan Update.

He received his BSBA in Real Estate Finance from UNLV, where he earned esteem as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma-International Honor Society. During his time at the university, he was President of the UNLV Real Estate and Business Society (REBS) and a CCIM and Bernie Isaacson/ Commercial Marketing Group/Lied Institute CREC Scholarship Recipient.
